Common uses: Clear float glass finds extensive use in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Some common uses include windows for buildings and vehicles, glass partitions, glass shelves, tabletops, picture frames, greenhouse panels, and interior design elements.

Transparency: Clear float glass has excellent optical clarity, allowing light to pass through with minimal distortion. This makes it suitable for applications where visibility is important, such as windows, glass doors, and display cases.

Versatility: Clear float glass can be further processed to meet specific requirements. It can be cut, polished, tempered, laminated, or coated with various materials to enhance its strength, safety, thermal insulation, or solar control properties.

Tempered glass is heat-treated to increase its strength and break into small, relatively harmless pieces when shattered, reducing the risk of injury. Laminated glass consists of multiple layers of glass with an interlayer, typically made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), which holds the glass together when shattered.
